About Our Organization
Goals of the Club
- To maintain a robust organization capable of executing the Club initiatives.
- To recruit qualified Republican candidates for public office in Cecil County.
- To support the campaigns of Republican candidates for County and State offices.
- To offer an open forum whereby Republicans can meet regularly.
Relationship with the Republican Committee of Cecil County.
The Republican Central Committee of Cecil County deserves the respect and cooperation of this Club in the committee’s efforts to coordinate Party activities, build support for the Party in Cecil County, and represent the County on the State level.
The Republican Club of Cecil County is an independent organization. The Club is not directed by the local Central Committee or other local organizations, although it may, from time to time, seek advice and assistance from them.
Support for Republican Candidate
The Candidate Development Committee meets candidates seeking Club support and makes recommendations to the Club Executive Committee regarding the type of support, if any, that the Club should offer. Support may be organizational, financial, or manpower.
The Executive Committee presents recommendations from the Candidate Development Committee to the general membership for approval.
The Club will publicize its support of individual candidates, or slate of candidates, as appropriate. All financial support made by the Club will be coordinated with the treasurer of the respective candidate.
Club Funds
The Club depends on the dues and donations of its members. Administrative costs shall be minimal; expenditures over $100 shall be approved by the executive committee in advance of disbursement.
The Political Action Committee (PAC) receives and disburses funds for campaign expenses of selected candidates. PAC funds are segregated from Club funds. PAC Disbursements are approved by PAC Executive Committee which is currently the Club Executive Committee.
